GOODBYE! To Black Printed Instruction Manuals!

Hey guys! For those who have purchased a LEGO set that was directed to “adult audiences” you would know that the instruction manual is printed on black. LEGO originally did this to separate the more “mature” sets apart from the others. However, they’ve received many complaints that it’s hard to see, so goodbye!

LEGO announced:

I’m happy to announce that we’ve listened to the background colour feedback in our building instructions. We have already done a lot of tests and have plans to get away from the black backgrounds altogether.

The instructions are quite hard to see in general, but a dim lighting setting, trying to determine the dark brown parts or better yet, any vision impairments – forget it! So, this is really a great change by LEGO. Although, there is no set date for this to be applied, at least it’s in the works!

Happy LEGO Building!
