TEASER!! LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Daily Bugle 76178

Hey guys! LEGO released a teaser image, on social media, of a newspaper cover with the headline “Spider-Man Leads Attack on Daily Bugle”. This has fans on the edge of their seats, waiting with anticipation for the official announcement of the largest Marvel set yet. This confirms all the rumours over the past few months that we can expect that a Marvel D2C set for the Daily Bugle from Spider-Man is to be releasing soon! Sales should start on June 1, 2021 and May 26th for VIP members, but it is yet to be confirmed by LEGO.

The D2C set is said to have a whopping 3,772 parts and should cost around $299.99 USD. Which, won’t be the most expensive Marvel set, even though it will carry the most parts. Currently, the largest Marvel set is the LEGO SHIELD Helicarrier 76042, priced at $349.99.

You can certainly find leaked images all over social media of the new Marvel D2C set, but we refrain from posting them since it’s not official yet.

If the rumours are true, we can expect 25 minifigures included! Nine have been named and since we know this will be an 18+ set, we can assume that there will be some super villains to look forward to.

  • Venom
  • Carnage
  • Daredevil
  • Punisher
  • Black Cat
  • Spider Gwen
  • Doctor Octopus
  • Green goblin
  • Mysterio

Considering the Daily Bugle fictional newspaper from the Spider-Man universe appears in both the comic strips and the films, we assume it will be based off of the comic strips since none of the films showcases all of the different characters together.

JB Spielwaren says the LEGO version should have a long fire escape, equipped with a large screen on the front. The Daily Bugle logo should also be emblazoned, probably including the post horn. There will also be a newspaper stand and a New York taxi.
